HOW DOES REMINTREX E-MAIL RETARGETING WORK?

Remintrex e-mail retargeting is a cookie-based technology. It uses a simple Javascript code to anonymously ‘follow’ your audience on your website and reach via e-mail a part of the users who have previously visited your site.

Here’s how it works: you place a small, unobtrusive piece of code on your website. The Remintrex code, sometimes referred to as a pixel, is unnoticeable to your site visitors and won’t affect your site’s performance. Every time a new visitor comes to your website, the code checks if there is a Remintrex cookie on the user`s device. In fact, many users all over the world have received a Remintrex cookie in the past, when they subscribed to some online services, took part to online activities or registered on Remintrex`s partners websites. If your cookied visitors leave the website without taking the action that you wanted (e.g. signing up for a newsletter, purchasing your products, downloading some content…), Remintrex checks again how many of these users we recognise and have the legal permission to contact. With our cookie-matching technology, you can be sure that your e-mails will be served only to these lost visitors.

E-mail retargeting is thus different from customer relationship management (CRM), as it targets people who have previously visited your site and are unknown to you. Remintrex e-mail retargeting doesn`t reach your current subscribers or registered users, but it allows you to get back with personalised content (e.g. e-mail content based on the pages viewed on your website) to a high percentage of lost visitors and convert them in new customers.

E-mail retargeting is so effective because it focuses on people who are already familiar with your brand and have recently demonstrated interest. That’s why most marketers who use it see a higher ROI than from most other digital channels.
